Twice The Riggle In "Dumb and Dumber To"

THR says that Rob Riggle has joined the comedy sequel "Dumb and Dumber To" at Universal Pictures and Red Granite Pictures.

Stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are back for writer/directors Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly in the story that sees Harry and Lloyd trying to find Harry’s long-lost daughter in the hopes of having her donate a kidney.

Riggle will play twins, “a handyman named Travis and his unstable brother, Captain Lippencott.”

Steve Tom, Rachel Melvin, and "The Walking Dead" co-star Laurie Holden will play the Pichlow family. Holden will play Adele Pichlow, who is secretly poisoning her husband, Dr. Pichlow (Tom) so she can run off with his money. Her nefarious plans also include killing off her step-daughter Penny (Melvin), Lloyd and Harry so she can run off with the family's handyman unscathed.

Kathleen Turner's character was recently revealed to be Fraida Feltcher, a woman who Harry and Lloyd have both pursued. Brady Bluhm will reprise his role of "Billy in 4C" the blind neighbor of Harry and Lloyd, to whom the pair sold their headless bird Petey.

John Morris and Sean Anders wrote the most recent drafts of the script.

The Farrelly brothers Riza Aziz Joey McFarland,  Bradley Thomas and Charlie Wessler will produce the film.

Production is underway in Atlanta to meet a likely summer 2014 release.
