"White Collar" and "Magic Mike" co-star Matt Bomer will play screen icon Montgomery Clift in the biopic "Monty Clift".
Producer Michael Din confirmed to The Huffington Post that Bomer nabbed the lead role in the film
The story centers on the bisexual Clift's relationship with actress Elizabeth Taylor following the filming of 1951's "A Place in the Sun". Clift's filmography also includes classics "From Here To Eternity," "Judgment At Nuremberg," and "The Search"
Larry Moss calls action from a script by Chris Lovick .
Janine Giaime and Juri Henley-Cohn will co-produce the biopic with Din.
Production will begin next year ahead of a 2015 release.
The openly gay Bomer will also be seen in next year's HBO tele-film adaptation of Larry Kramer's semi-autobiographical play "The Normal Heart" and Akiva Goldsman's adaptation of the 1983 Mark Helprin novel called "Winter's Tale"
