The Expendables 3 Gets Grammer

Kelsey Grammer is poised to join the action sequel "The Expendables 3" says Deadline.


Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, Wesley Snipes, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Antonio Banderas, Ronda Rousey,Terry Crews, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Victor Ortiz, Kellan Lutz star.

It has also been confirmed that Rousey, Ortiz, Lutz and 24-year-old Glen Powell (The Dark Knight Rises) will play members of "a younger group of tech-savvy action heroes" who will clash with Stallone's group at first and then  eventually team-up with them.

Grammer is taking over a role that was originally offered to Nicolas Cage--that of an ex-mercenary named Bonaparte.

The movie will be directed by Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) from a script by Richard Wenk.

Boaz Davidson and Avi Lerner produce the film.

The movie is slated to open August 15th 2014.

Grammer worked recently with Stallone on "Reach Me," and will soon be seen playing the bad guy in Michael Bay's "Transformers: Age Of Extinction".
