Wilson was a Presbyterian and an academic by nature. Reluctant at first, he ultimately led the U.S. to join the Allies in the fight against the Germans during World War I. He also negotiated the armistice, and helped create the League of Nations.
The film is being developed as a potential star vehicle for Leonardo DiCaprio. Dicaprio and Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Berg will produce the film.
