Expendables 3: Stallone Regets Anti-Willis Tweet

Back in August, we learned that Bruce Willis had seemingly priced himself out of doing the upcoming action sequel "The Expendables 3". Harrison Ford took over Willis' spot on the roster.

Star Sylvester Stallone tweeted the reason for Willis' departure was money--calling Bruce: "GREEDY AND LAZY ...... A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE"

Now, chatting with Empire, Sly says he regrets posting that tweet: "This is just a matter of economics. Bruce has been a lifelong friend. I still consider him a friend, at least on my side. This is something that came out of frustration. Perhaps I shouldn't have been so vocal with it."

For his part, Willis has kept quiet about the situation...

Jason Statham, Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, Wesley Snipes, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Antonio Banderas, Ronda Rousey,Terry Crews, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Victor Ortiz, Kellan Lutz and Kelsey Grammer also star in the sequel.

It has also been confirmed that Rousey, Ortiz, Lutz and 24-year-old Glen Powell (The Dark Knight Rises) will play members of "a younger group of tech-savvy action heroes" who will clash with Stallone's group at first and then  eventually team-up with them.

The movie will be directed by Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) from a script by Richard Wenk.

Boaz Davidson and Avi Lerner produce the film.

The movie is slated to open August 15th 2014.
