The recent Batman trilogy and "Man Of Steel" notwithstanding the DC Comics movie universe finds itself lagging far behind Marvel's steady output.
Out doing promotion for the racing biopic "Rush," Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor was asked about the rivalry between the two companies.
"We’re just winning aren’t we? That’s not really a rivalry."
When it is pointed out that "The Avengers" made more money than "The Dark Knight Rises," Hemsworth added: "Did we? Good."
Hemsworth followed that up with a more even-handed answer:
"Look you can’t not be excited about your film being part of something that does that well, but it all kind of benefits each other. If one film opens big, then most likely people want to come back to the movies and see something else. So it all feeds into each other."
DC's next big release is Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman/Batman team-up Man of Steel Sequel due on July 17, 2015. Marvel has Thor: The Dark World which hits theaters on November 8th 2013.
