Adam Sandler is in talks to star in writer/director Thomas McCarthy's indie drama "The Cobbler" says THR.
The story sees a shoe repair shop owner who has the ability to metaphysically step into the lives of the people whose shoes he repairs.
Mary Jane Skalski, who produced McCarthy's The Station Agent, The Visitor, and Win Win, does so again here.
The Cobbler will shoot before McCarthy's Spotlight which chronicles the Catholic church sex abuse scandal.
