Happy Birthday Superman---VIDEO

"Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder and DC Universe Animated Universe master Bruce Timm have teamed up to create a thrilling two-minute animated short that celebrates the 75 year history of the best superhero created for the comics--Superman!

Superman was created by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, 2 high school students living in Cleveland, Ohio and first appeared in 1938...


The vid includes the various incarnations from the comics, to the animated series.

George Reeves, Christopher Reeve, and Henry Cavill versions of the character show up while there's no sign of Dean Cain, Brandon Routh or Tom Welling and only a blink and you miss it "Smallville" reference.

The video--over at EW features John Williams' iconic theme from Richard Donner's Superman--merged with Hans Zimmer's theme for MOS--Zimmer scored and orchestrated the combination, using an 80-piece orchestra...
