Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures bought a prison action spec script from Jonathan Herman called "Conviction" says Variety.
The premise follows a bank robber serving five years in prison for a heist gone bad who is approached by an FBI agent to set up his criminal protege who is in the midst of another high-dollar heist.
The film is said to contain elements of Heat and "Donnie Brasco". Joel Silver and Andrew Rona will produce.
At this point, it sounds pretty generic
