Bloody-Disgusting reports that a major movie based on Disneyland's "Tower of Terror" attraction is in the works.

While rights issues are still being worked out, the plan is to follow a group of characters that enter a bizarre world where nothing is as it seems.

This kind of thing is a tough sell though--for all of "Pirates of the Caribbean" sucess is The Haunted Mansion

There was a TV movie based on based on the tower ride in 1997 starring Steve Guttenberg and Kirsten Dunst.
