David Cronenberg will call action on this adaptation of the thriller by author Robert Ludlum while Michael Brandt and Derek Haas adapted the script which updates the original Cold War premise.
The pair will play two bitter enemy spies who, after spending two decades trying to kill one another, find themselves in the cross hairs of the Matarese, a powerful group at the root of a conspiracy.
While this doesn't scream Cronenberg...Denzel and Tom are certainly no stranger to the spy game though...has all the earmarks of a hit.
A 2010 release is expected.
