Nottingham co-star Mark Strong tells the UK's Telegraph that Cate Blanchett is likely to replace the departed Sienna Miller in the role of Maid Marian for Ridley Scott
"I think Cate Blanchett is set to take the Maid Marian part. She is a wonderful actress and it would make it a much classier film if she was in it" says Strong who is circling to play the tale's Sir Guy of Gisbourne.
Reports had Miller leaving because she was deemed to young and thin to star opposite the older (and Body Of Lies weight-gainer Russell Crowe as the Sheriff.
At the time Crowe was still carried around much of the weight he gained for "BOL", though since then a trimmed and more fit Crowe has been spotted hard in training to prepare for the role.
Since Crowe could always lose the pounds during the hiatus--Was it really an age thing or an acting thing with regard to Miller?
Either way as Blanchett fan I see great things for the troubled flick if she does get the gig...
The film is scheduled for a November 2010 release.
