
Danielle Panabaker and Joe Anderson have joined Breck Eisner’s “The Crazies”, a remake of George Romero’s movie of the same name, says THR.
The script centers on the inhabitants of a small Kansas town who are beset by death and insanity after a plane crash lets loose a secret biological weapon into the water supply.
Panabaker plays a receptionist at the town's medical center. Anderson takes on the role of the town's deputy
Timothy Olyphant (”Hitman”) as the town's Sheriff, and Radha Mitchell (”Rogue”) as his Aussie-accented wife..
Scott Kosar and Ray Wright wrote the new screenplay
Breck Eisner (”Sahara”) directs
Production begin March 5th in Georgia before moving on to Iowa.
