Dragging Tomb

This weekend director Rob Cohen unearths The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor (reviews); While Kevin Costner is the Swing Vote (reviews) in this timely election themed comedy...

Dave McNary and Pamela McClintock of Variety:

Universal film franchise "The Mummy" comes back to life in theaters this weekend after a seven-year slumber, with U looking to seize the No. 1 spot from Warner Bros.’ Batman blockbuster "The Dark Knight."

"The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" opens in 3,759 runs. Brendan Fraser returns in the title role, while Maria Bello and Jet Li join the franchise. Three-quel diverges from the previous two films in moving the action to China from Egypt.

Box office observers believe director Rob Cohen’s "Dragon Emperor" has a good shot at coming in No. 1. Parents will likely feel more comfortable taking younger kids to see the pic than to the darker "Knight," even though both are rated PG-13...

Nicole Sperling of EW:

Brendan Fraser's third undead outing just might knock ''The Dark Knight'' from its box-office perch

It looks like the critics just buried the latest Mummy romp And it seems as though the laughs are in short supply in Swing...I say skip both flicks and go see The Dark Knight (again)!

Next Up: James Franco and Seth Rogen board the Pineapple Express for laughs and the "Sisterhood" is traveling for a 2nd time....

Sounds like Tomb of the Dragon Emperor met everyone's expectations... Brendan Frasier tries too hard to act, so you can tell he's acting

For the most part I would agree with you about BF's acting save for the 90's drama School Ties...

He was excellent in that underappreciated gem.
