Time To Go

Will Ferrell is set to star in the independent dramedy "Everything Must Go" says Variety.

Based on a Raymond Carver written short story, Ferrell plays a man who loses his job and gets locked out of the house by his wife. She deposits his belongings on the front lawn, and he spends the next four days trying to sell his possessions.

"Will is one of the best at making an audience sympathize with a character's ordeal, and the blending and comedy in this script will show a side of him that we haven't really seen before," said Marty Bowen, one of the producers.

Dan Rush, a former commercials helmer adapted the script and makes his feature directorial debut on the project which begins filming in March.

Obviously Ferrell is trying to get back in Hollywood's good graces after his summer stinker Land of the Lost cost a lot of money to make and failed to deliver a mint. Farrell is hoping that a Stranger Than Fiction-esque return to more personal films, will do the trick.

As far as I'm concerned the jury is out on that...
