Amber Works For 127 Hours

Amber Tamblyn will play opposite James Franco in the biopic 127 Hours says Deadline Hollywood.

Based on a true story, Franco is Aron Ralston, is a mountaineer who spent five days with his right forearm pinned under a boulder during a climb in May 2003 and had to use a dull knife to amputate the limb before scaling a wall and seeking rescue.

Tamblyn plays his girlfriend in flashbacks that inspire him to keep going.

Danny Boyle directs the pic from a script by Simon Beaufoy.

Filming kicking off next month in Utah.
