Selena Gomez will play one of the three lead roles in the comedy "Monte Carlo" says Variety. Based on Jules Bass' novel "Headhunters", the story follows a group of young American women who pose as wealthy ladies vacationing in Monaco.
Leighton Meester is also in talks to co-star
Thomas Bezucha ("The Family Stone") directs from a script he co-wrote with Maria Maggenti and April Blair
Nicole Kidman, Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan will produce the pic--with Kidman taking on a possible supporting role.
Filming kicks off in May in Monaco, Budapest and Paris.
