The Scream film series may not be dead...Despite poor box office for Scream 4 -- taking in just $37.5 million after five weeks in theaters here at home.
Series executive producer Harvey Weinstein tells MTV News that Scream 5 is quite possible.
"I'm sure [Wes Craven is] going to do a sequel, I'm sure he's going to do a sequel" says Weinstein.
"Foreign [sales] are so strong that we'll do over $100 million worldwide. It's at $90 million now, with about five or six major countries to go and a lot of small ones. We'll probably do $110 million."
Weinstein admits he's disappointed with the domestic results, but isn't too upset - "I wish it would have been better domestically. But it's not the worst thing in the world that's ever happened."
Way to stay positive Harve...! I was meh about Scream 4 but Down the Road director and pal Jason Christopher liked it a lot
