Labeouf Has A "Necessary Death" Again

After a studio and leading man change delayed it for almost a year, the action comedy “The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman” looks to get going again says Variety.

Shia Labeouf was attached to the lead role back in 2010 but scheduling issues kept him from doing the pic-making way last year for Zac Efron to get linked. Labeouf's schedule now clear he is again planning to star.

Matt Drake wrote the Black List script which follows a young man named Charlie who, after the death of his mother, heads to Europe to find himself. There, he meets a girl and falls in love. As it turns out she's the girlfriend of an insanely violent crime boss with a gang of thugs at his disposal. However that won’t deter Charlie who endures one bruising beat down after another to woo the girl.

The duo behind Little Miss Sunshine, Albert Berger and Ron Yerxa, are set to produce the pic along with The Kite Runner‘s Bill Horberg with commercial director Fredrik Bond at the helm

Production finally kicks off early May in Eastern Europe
