In the pic Scarlett Johansson plays a woman who moves to New York City to pursue musical dreams with her boyfriend. When his career takes off without her, she meets a down-on-his luck record producer (Mark Ruffalo) who spots her raw talent.
Steinfeld will play Ruffalo's daughter.
Anthony Bregman, Nigel Sinclair and Guy East will produce while Judd Apatow will executive produce the film.
Producton kicks off in June.
