Platinum Dunes is in talks to take over the producing chores on the next "Halloween" film from Dimension Films reports Bloody Disgusting.
Originally set for release on October 26th 2012 the proposed 3-D project was pulled from the calendar with no confirmed cast or director in place.
Dunes is now looking for writers and directors to work on the film, replacing "Drive Angry" writer Todd Farmer and helmer Patrick Lussier who were previously linked to the film
Aside from killer Michael Myers, there's no word what form this film will take - though it'll likely be another reboot of franchise that will most likely ignore the original eight films and the two more recent blood soaked Rob Zombie versions of Halloween and Halloween II .
Dunes certainly has experience rebooting famed horror franchises in recent years---having produced "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre," "The Amityville Horror,"--the only dud in my opinion---"Friday the 13th" and A Nightmare on Elm Street And any thing's gotta be better than Zombie's vision right?--Hope so...
