Hamm & Gillespie Scout Million Dollar Arm

Jon Hamm is attached to star while Craig Gillespie ("Lars and the Real Girl," "Fright Night") is in negotiations to direct the sports drama "Million Dollar Arm" says Variety.

The film is based on the true story of how sports agent J.B. Bernstein (Hamm) discovered professional pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel through a reality show he staged in India using cricket players.

Tom McCarthy ("Win Win") wrote the script

Mark Ciardi, Gordon Gray, Joe Roth and Palak Patel will produce the film.
