Rapper/actor/director RZA AKA Robert Diggs has Man With the Iron Fists in theaters Friday--but is already moving on with two more films in the works says Heat Vision.
First up, he's signed on to direct the John Milius long in development epic biopic about the ruler of the largest empire the world has ever seen -Genghis Khan. The story will be told from the point of view of the early 13th century Mongol conqueror's son and grandson.
Milius wrote the script and is executive producing the film.
Andre Morgan and Peter Lam are producing that film
Production aims to begin in China next year.
Before that, RZA is expected to direct No Man’s Land. The script comes from David Klass (and Trey Ellis (Good Fences), and takes place over one night, described as having the vibe of Walter Hill’s cult classic, The Warriors. It tells the story of a man who steals a powerful criminal's diamond that soon proves to be far more valuable than initially thought. With the help of a dancer, he attempts to stay alive and cash in on the jewel.
The film is set entirely across one night.
Bill Mechanic and Reginald Hudlin will produce.
