Former "Meathead" turned director Rob Reiner brought the acclaimed novel by Stephen King called "Misery"to the screen! Famous author Paul Sheldon (James Caan) is
rescued from a car accident by local nurse Annie
Wilkes (Kathy Bates). Broken and bedridden in
her remote cabin, Paul soon realises that his ‘number one fan’ has no desire to
let him leave...It's the only King adapted film to win an Academy Award. Bates won an Oscar for her portrayal as disturbed Wilkes.
Having grown up watching and loving the horror genre I really appreciated what director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson did with the original Scream. It gave the genre the shot in the arm it needed...
