Wood, Cusack Get Films From Synchronicity

Synchronicity Entertainment announced two projects at the American Film Market says THR.

"Saw" writer Leigh Whannell and "Glee" co-creator Ian Brennan penned "Cooties" about a mysterious virus infecting an isolated elementary school, transforming the kids into a feral swarm of savages. An unlikely hero must led a motley band of teachers in the fight of their lives.



Elijah Wood is set to star as that hero and will produce for his new production company

Ace Norton direct the horror thriller that will begin shooting in April.

The other film that is part of the deal is the thriller "Due Process"

Paul Currie helms the story of two big city bankers who head to a farm to foreclose it. They get more than they bargained for when the farmer John Cusack) is not willing to hand it over.

Mark Holder, Christine Holder and Mark Williams will produce.
