Herzog Takes On "Vernon God Little"

Werner Herzog ("Grizzly Man," "Encounters at the End of the World") will direct a film adaptation of author DBC Pierre's coming-of-age novel "Vernon God Little" reports Variety.

Set in Texas, the story follows a teenager caught up in the aftermath of a high-school shooting committed by his best friend.

Andrew Birkin is writing the adapted screenplay.

Producer Bernd Eichinger was developing the project before his death, now his wife Katja Eichinger is taking on his duties on the film.
