Cartwright, Cole, & Leonard Will Dread "Sundown"

THR reports that Veronica Cartwright, Gary Cole and Joshua Leonard have joinrd the remake of the 1976 horror thriler The Town That Dreaded Sundown.

Addison Timlin who was cast a few weeks ago stars as Jami,”a young high schooler being raised by her grandmother (Cartwright) who’s targeted by the mysterious killer.

Cole plays a deputy who is pursuing the killer, and Leonard will play the deputy assigned to protect Timlin and her grandmother.

Travis Tope will play a classmate who befriends Timlin’s character and decides to make a documentary about the search for the killer.

Alfonso Gomez-Rejon will direct the remake using a script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa,

Ryan Murphy and Jason Blum are producing the film

The film begins shooting this month in Louisiana.
