Witherspoon Speaks "Three Little Words" For Mangold

Reese Witherspoon will reunite with her Walk the Line director James Mangold for the drama Three Little Words says THR.

The film is based on the memoir by author Ashley Rhodes-Courter that is said to be “a true-life Charles Dickens-esque tale of a young Florida girl who entered the child welfare system when she was four.”

Witherspoon will star as a volunteer who tries to convince the girl’s birth mother, played by Amanda Seyfried, to relinquish her parental rights so the teen can begin a new life.

Mangold is directing using an adapted script by Lewis Colick and Michael Petroni.

Cathy Konrad Jami Gertz Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Riva Marker and Daniel Crown are producing the film.

Production will start in September in Florida.
