The Expendables 3: Cast List And Some Plot Deets

Production starts next week on the action sequel The Expendables 3--producer Boaz Davidson has posted confirmation the official cast list through his Facebook page:

Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, Wesley Snipes, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Antonio Banderas, Ronda Rousey,Terry Crews, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Victor Ortiz, Kellan Lutz.

These are the confirmed cast members only. You will note that some of the  previously mentioned names like Jackie Chan and Milla Jovovich are not there.

It has also been confirmed that Rousey, Ortiz, Lutz and 24-year-old Glen Powell (The Dark Knight Rises) will play members of "a younger group of tech-savvy action heroes" who will clash with Stallone's group at first and then  eventually team-up with them.

Thankfully Nicolas Cage ended speculation that he might show up and ruin the movie.

Ford will play a new character and is not a direct replacement for Bruce Willis.

Producer Avi Lerner's initial wish-list also included Clint Eastwood.

The movie will be directed by Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) from a script by Richard Wenk.

The movie is slated to open August 15th 2014.
