Hammer Opens "The Daylight Gate"

Hammer Films has acquired the film rights to author Jeanette Winterson's novella "The Daylight Gate" says Variety.

Set in the early 17th century, the story centers on the notorious Pendle Witch Trials and involves magic, superstition and murder.

The production company will soon release "The Quiet Ones" and are scheduled to begin production next month on the  horror sequel The Woman in Black: Angels of Death.
