"The Racketeer" Gets Scribe But Loses Director

Deadline reports that Frank Baldwin ("The Art Of Making Money") will pen the adapted script for the film version of author John Grisham's  latest novel "The Racketeer".


The story begins with the murder of a federal judge at a lakeside cabin and the contents of his safe being emptied. The only man who knows the whose and whys is a former attorney serving time in federal prison who hopes to parlay that into getting revenge on the people who put him there.

Daniel Espinosa ("Safe House," "Easy Money") was previously linked to direct but that is no longer the case.
