Captain America 3: Writers Offer Update

We know that "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" helmers Joe Russo and Anthony Russo set to return to their post for Captain America 3 using a script by screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Markus and McFeely recently told Collider that the film is a bit further along than has been previously suggested. The pair have been working on the project since late last year. Ideas are being thrown around and tested, and it's "coalescing into the movie it's supposed to be".

They've also read Joss Whedon's superhero team up sequel "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" script and are happy with where Captain America (Chris Evans) is when the film ends.

At present, they don't know how big of a role The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) will have in the next film and they want to make sure nobody else overshadows Cap. They've also deliberately left some threads in 'Winter Soldier' that they intend to develop further.

Marvel confirmed today that "Captain America 3" will stay on course with its  May 6th 2016 release date putting it out on the same weekend as rival DC Entertainment's Superman/Batman team-up Man of Steel Sequel.
