Comic Books "MPH" & "Superior" Become Movies

Heat Vision reports that producer  Lorenzo di Bonaventura has optioned the screen rights to  "Wanted" and "Kick-Ass" comics author Mark Millar's latest creation "MPH".


Duncan Fegredo co-created the comic that sees four 19-year olds get their hands on a street drug that gives them the ability to move at light-speed for seven days.

 The search for a writer is now being underway and will be hired before setting it up at a studio.

Fox recently acquired Millar's 2010 limited series "Superior".


The story revolves around a young boy stricken with multiple sclerosis who is granted one wish by an alien monkey: to become a Superman-like superhero named Superior. Problems arise when the boy learns that the monkey isn't an alien, but a demon who demands the boy's soul in return for his transformation. If not, his wish will be undone and he will return to his original form.

Matthew Vaughn. who directed the first "Kick Ass" film and the upcoming adaptation of Millar's comic book "The Secret Service" will produce.

The studio is currently seeking a writer to pen the adapted script/
