Jessica Chastain Tipped To Play Marilyn Monroe In "Blonde"

The Wrap reports that Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty) is in late stage talks to play actress Marilyn Monroe in the biopic Blonde.

Based on the imaginary Monroe memiors by author Joyce Carol Oates, the story is said to look at the "imagined inner life of the iconic actress".

Naomi Watts was previously attached to play Monroe at one point here

Andrew Dominik (Killing Them Softly, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) will direct using his own adapted screenplay.

Brad Pitt will produce the movie.
