The film follows an ex-con (Mel Gibson) who tries to protect his estranged and troubled 16-year-old daughter (Moriarty) from drug dealers trying to kill her.
Peter Craig ("The Town") wrote the screenplay, from which Jean-François Richet's calling action.
Chris Briggs is producing the pic.
Production begins next month in New Mexico.
