Paul Feig's "Spy" Goes Euro

Deadline reports that British actor/comedian Peter Serafinowicz, Bollywood regular Nargis Fakhri, Swedish comedian Bjorn Gustafsson and Ukrainian drag queen pop star Verka Serduchka have all joined the of Paul Feig's new action comedy "Spy" (formerly known as "Susan Cooper").


Serduchka is a character created by Andriy Danylko, who represented Ukraine in the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest coming in second place. That performance of 'Dancing Lasha Tumbai', will reportedly be recreated for the film.

Feig and his "Bridesmaids" and "The Heat" star Melissa McCarthy are re-teaming for a third time with this film in which McCarthy stars as an unlikely secret agent who heads into the field to find whoever is responsible for the death of her lover and colleague (Jude Law).

Jason Statham, Rose Byrne Bobby Cannavale Nia Long and Miranda Hart also star.  Rapper/actor 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) will be playing himself in the film.

Feig, Jesse Henderson Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping will produce the film.

Production is currently underway in Budapest. The comedy is due to open next May.
