2 More Recruited For "Spectral"

Bruce Greenwood and Clayne Crawford have joined the supernatural sci-fi thriller Spectral says Deadline.



Nic Mathieu is tipped to call action on the film that is described as “Black Hawk Down" with ghosts. The film, which centers on a special-ops team that fights supernatural beings that have taken over New York City.

The Wrap says that Greenwood plays a high-ranking military official who briefs the heroes on this new kind of terror threat. Crawford has signed on to play the role of Sergeant Calvin Toll, “a focused but short-fused military lifer.”

The script was recently re-written by Jayson Rothwell. George Nolfi wrote the initial script with an assist from John Gatins.

James Badge Dale Cory Hardrict and Max Martini also star in the pic.

Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni will produce the film Jillian Share Guy Riedel and Sophie Sikora are serving as executive producers.

Legendary Pictures’s Tull is high on the project, according to sources, and sees it as a franchise and had an eye at getting this off the ground ever since they acquired the spec from Ian Fried.
