Vin Diesel Respnds To "Fast 7" Difficulty Chatter

There were reports last week that suggested actor Vin Diesel had recently been acting out of character on the set of  James Wan's Fast & Furious 7- voicing his unhappiness over the film, and then hold up for a day and a half in his trailer.

The studio suits quickly responded, saying: "This production is working through some challenges that are historically unprecedented. The crew and cast, led by Vin, have been nothing but terrific under these circumstances."

The 7th film will see Jason Statham's Ian Shaw character out for revenge against Dominic and Brian (Diesel and Paul Walker).

Brothers Caleb Walker and Cody Walker are on hand to help finish the sequel following the tragic Nov. 30 2013 car-crash death of their sibling and star Paul. Officially it's still unknown as to what their roles are, though it's thought they'll be working as body doubles for their late brother for his remaining scenes.

Diesel has released a statement via his Facebook that in part tries to explain the friction on the set while paying tribute to Paul:

"There wasn't a scene in the saga he didn't want to discuss, improve... even with just a changing of a line or adding a specific nuance to enrich a moment. He did it with the pride of knowing, that over a decade of portraying Brian, through four directors, multiple writers and new producers he was able to maintain the inner core of the character he created. Those work ethics and drive to be both truthful, and in his own way, evolve the decade spanning character is what made his character as iconic as it has become. He always knew I would fight for him… whether it was to protect his deal or to protect his integrity… and he knew that if it made for a better film, I was going to do whatever it took… it is why together, we won best duo... twice, 12 years apart. With our new ambitious vfx team, the whole cast and crew has had to adjust to this awkward and uncomfortable process of pixels over people. Aside from the obvious strains it places on the director, the challenge is not to allow it to compromise what makes the character so special."

Film sets can be very contentious at times even when things are running relatively smoothly--Given that Wan and co are working under extraordinarily difficult conditions...Tension is expected.

Jordana Brewster Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson will be back in action as well. "The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift" star Lucas Black will reprise his role as Sean Boswell. Universal has plans for the character since Black has in fact signed on for Fast & Furious 8 and 9.  Kurt Russell's role is the father of Chad Lindberg's Jesse from the first film. Jesse was shot in a drive-by shooting moments after pleading with Dominic to help protect him.

Mixed Martial Arts fighter Ronda Rousey and Thai martial arts superstar and Ong-bak star Tony Jaa will make his American film debut in the next installment of the action film franchiseNathalie Emmanuel--who starred as Daenery's new servant Missandei in the past season of Game of Thrones, plays a "significant" new member of  Diesel and Walker's team. Djimon Hounsou and Latin-American singer Romeo Santos also star.

Wan is calling action using Chris Morgan's script.

The film currently has an April 10th 2015 release date.
