Jack Reynor Sought For Baseball Biopic

Deadline reports that Transformers: Age Of Extinction star Jack Reynor is poised to star in the as yet Untitled Biopic about famed baseball player Josh Hamilton.

A true prodigy at 15, Hamilton was the first player chosen in the 1999 MLB draft and signed with the The Tampa Bay Rays for a then record $4 million. After a car accident, he ended up living on his own for the first time and had trouble adjusting- turning to booze and cocaine which destroyed his career. Years later he came to terms with his destructive ways and is slowly trying to turn it around.

Casey Affleck will write and direct the film.

Basil Iwanyk and Kevin Walsh will produce alongside Hamilton, his wife Katie and Hamilton’s business manager Steve Reed.
