"Bone Tomahawk" Finds Female Lead, More

Lili Simmons, Evan Jonigkeit, Kathryn Morris David Arquette and Sid Haig. have joined the cast of the horror-western "Bone Tomahawk" says Screen.


The story follows a sheriff (Kurt Russell), a gunslinger, a befuddled oldster (Richard Jenkins) and a cowboy as they attempt to rescue a group of captives from a band of cannibalistic troglodytes.

Patrick Wilson will play a cowboy who suffers an unfortunate accident that reshapes his life. Matthew Fox will play a man with dark inclinations that have put him at the very edge of the western frontier. The new actors replace Timothy Olyphant and Peter Sarsgaard, who had been set but the schedule shifted.

Simmons will play the de facto doctor of the town and wife to Wilson’s character.Jennifer Carpenter was previously cast in this role. Arquette and Haig play brigands whose actions set off a string of violent repercussions.

Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller are producing the film.

Wayne Marc Godfrey, Robert Jones and David Gilbery will executive produce.
