Ryan Reynolds On "Deadpool" Movie

Since test footage leaked back in July for the long gestating X-Men film series spin-off comic book flick "Deadpool" there's been no word about on the project--despite an overwhelmingly positive response to the footage.

Ryan Reynolds is still attached to star reprising the role he played in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine for the film that Tim Miller is due to direct at some point using a script penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick ("Zombieland"). X-Men  producer Lauren Shuler Donner is doing her thing here as well.

Reynolds tells Niagara Falls Review:

"The movie has been in a state of limbo for a while. There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, 'Oh, so we weren't crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.' It's interesting to see the power of the Internet. It's awe-inspiring, actually. And it's neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way."

Fox have yet to say anything official regarding the film yet, but creator Rob Liefeld has reportedly found a way to make the film PG-13 without compromising Deadpool's harder edge.
