The story follows one of the last remaining witch hunters (Diesel) on his latest mission - wandering the streets of modern New York City forced to partner with his natural enemy, a female witch ("Game of Thrones" actress Rose Leslie). The two must stop a villainous witch queen from obtaining a relic and unleashing plague upon humanity.
Sir Michael Caine and Elijah Wood also star.
The screenplay was originally penned by Cory Goodman and has since had revisions by D.W. Harper and a polish by Melisa Wallack from which Breck Eisner is calling action.
Previously "Wanted" director Timur Bekmambetov was attached to direct and produce but he's no longer a part of the pic.
Diesel, Mark Canton and Bernie Goldmann will produce.
The film is eying a Fall 2015 bow
