The story follows a group of friends holidaying on an island destination who try a new designer drug that makes them lose their ability to control their urges.
Brosnan will play the creator and distributor of the narcotic.
Sin City: A Dame To Kill For and Machete Kills producer Aaron Kaufman co-wrote the script with Jason Zumwalt and Jerry Stahl from which he will make his directorial debut.
Production begins this October in New York.
