The comic focused on a team of super villains who were given a second chance by the government for redemption. The catch is that the mission they are sent on will likely end up killing all of them.
The film's goal is to be "dark and edgy" and Ayer would be a good fit for the project.
No word on which villains will make up the big screen incarnation, but it's not expected to be any of the major bad guys.
