"The Twilight Saga" will continue as a series of short films--called 'The Storytellers - New Creative Voices of The Twilight Saga' to be directed by at least five aspiring female filmmakers reports HitFix
"Twilight Series" author Stephenie Meyer is teaming up with Women in Film, Facebook and crowdsourcing platform Tongal to develop and produce the shorts which will include films based on a broad spectrum of characters from the "Twilight" universe.
Meyer's "The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide" will offer guidance for the filmmakers to direct the shorts which will be financed through production advances. The winning entries will premiere exclusively on Facebook next year.
Helping to select the winners are Meyer, Kristen Stewart, Catherine Hardwicke, Jennifer Lee, Kate Winslet, Octavia Spencer, Julie Bowen and Women In Film President Cathy Schulman.
