Wesley Snipes Gets "Five Minutes To Live"

Wesley Snipes is set to star in a remake of the 1961 crime drama "Five Minutes to Live" says Variety.


The original film starred singing legend Johnny Cash and Vic Tayback as two thieves who conspire to rob a bank and hold the bank manager’s wife hostage.

Chuck Russell and Raul Sanchez-Inglis co-write the adapted script for the remake from which Russell will call action.

Joseph Nasser, Michael Mendelsohn and Richard Rionda Del Castro will produce.

In 2012 "Speed" and "Twister" helmer Jan De Bont was set to direct the redux

International rights for the project will go on sale next week at the American Film Market.
