Deadline reports that "The Lego Movie" writer/directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have signed a deal with Warner Bros to write The Lego Movie 2. The pair were originally only planning to produce the sequel.
No word on whether they’ll direct the follow-up as yet.
Warners has already set the sequel for a May 26th 2017 release following the first film making $468 million worldwide, the third highest grossing film of the year so far.
