Variety reports that Brad Pitt will star in a currently untitled romantic thriller.

Specific plot details are unknown.

Steven Knight ("The Hundred-Foot Journey," "Dirty Pretty Things") penned the script from which  Robert Zemeckis ("Back to the Future," "Forrest Gump") will helm.

Zemeckis, Graham King and Steve Starkey are producing the film while Knight, Jack Rapke, Patrick McCormick and Denis O'Sullivan will serve as executive producers.
