The post-apocalyptic tale is set in a Texas wasteland where a community of cannibals reside, and is described as a love story about a cannibal (Momoa) and his food.
Ana Lily Amirpour is directing the pic using a script that she wrote. The tone is said to be a cross between "The Road Warrior" and "Pretty in Pink".
Megan Ellison, Danny Gabai and Sina Sayyah will produce.
