Dane will co-star with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston in "Marley & Me"-a film adaptation of the best-selling book of the same name

Variety has the details

Dane will play the Wilson's best friend, who suggests that he adopt a puppy as a substitute for the children his wife wants to have. Marley morphs from an adorable Lab puppy into quite the handful.

Female members of my family love Grey's and Dane. I'm sure that they will see "Marley" just based on the fact that he co-stars. Never saw the Dr show but I know Dane from his role in X-Men: The Last Stand playing Multiple Man
